Pastel Paintings - Ireland Series

Way back in 2008 my family and I visited my wife's relatives in Ireland. The two paintings below were inspired from photographs of our trip to County Mayo. Both are small pastels, 6x12.

You can see some red and orange beneath the bold greens of the landscape. The top painting includes a watercolor under-painting using the opposite (complementary) colors, while the bottom painting used complementary colors done in acrylic.
