I am scheduled to teach "Enhanced Landscapes in Pastel" at the Michigan Art Center, starting Wednesday October 11 for five sessions.
Last night I performed a demo of a pastel painting for the Garden City Arts Group (Garden City, Michigan). The pastel painting I created started with a vibrant under-painting of acrylic paint, using the complementary colors of the marsh landscape from Point Pelee in Ontario. Here's a version of a similar painting done over the Labor Day weekend:
Even if you have NO pastel supplies but an interest in landscape art, sign up for class. We have pastels and paper, and I can also work with you should your schedule conflict with any of the Wednesday evenings (yes I can assign homework)!
